Flexible, Affordable Tutoring Support — When Your Student Needs It Most

During the school year, students hit busy weeks, tough homework and upcoming tests – but one-on-one sessions aren’t always practical or within everyone’s budget. The Math Hub gives families a simple, affordable way to keep academic support available all year long.

What It Is

The Math Hub is a drop-in online tutoring membership for middle and high school students.

Each week, I host two live sessions where students can:

  • Join via Google Meet and a shared online whiteboard
  • Ask questions about their homework or test prep
  • Watch and learn from other students’ questions
  • Get quick, clear explanations – no pressure, no long sessions

Students can attend as often as they’d like, or just listen in when they need extra help.

Subjects Covered

  • Middle school and high school Math (Pre-Algebra through Calculus)
  • Standardized Test Prep — ACT, HSPT and more
  • Study strategies, test-taking tips and problem-solving approaches

(New topics may be added based on student needs.)

Schedule

  • Two live sessions per week (usually weekday evenings)
  • Each session lasts about 60 minutes
  • Students can come to either or both sessions each week
  • Sessions are conducted via Google Meet and an online whiteboard

No sessions will be held during major holidays (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas). A full calendar will be posted each semester so families know exactly what’s included.

Frequently Asked Questions

When are the sessions?
Two evenings each week during the school year (exact days/times posted each term). Each lasts about an hour.

How does payment work?
You can pay securely through Venmo, Zelle or Stripe.
Membership renews each month or term; you can cancel anytime before the next billing cycle.

Can multiple siblings share one membership?
Each membership covers one student. If you have multiple children, discounted additional-student rates are available – just ask.

Is this only for math homework?
Math Hub is great for help with homework, but is also the perfect resource for students who have last-minute questions prior to an upcoming test or quiz. There will be sessions dedicated to standardized tests (ACT, HSPT, etc.), as well.

How many students are in each session?
Attendance varies, but sessions are capped to keep things interactive and personal.

Do you still offer private tutoring?
Yes! One-on-one and small-group sessions are available separately for families who want more individualized help.

What happens during holidays or breaks?
Sessions pause for certain holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.). The full calendar is posted in advance.

What if we need to cancel or change plans?
Semester and annual plans are refundable for unused months, minus the value of any used months calculated at the regular monthly rate ($119/month). Monthly payments aren’t refundable once the month has started, but you’ll always keep access through the end of the paid period.

How do I join?
